The Hogwarts Spring Gala

Katie sipped more of her drink, "Oh some Jerk that keeps trying to hit on me. Thanks for hiding me.."

Gellert walks in, and, seeing Penny looking absolutely lovely in her dress, half-struts over to her. "That dress really brings out your eyes, Penny," he says to her, with a half-smirk, half-smile.

"No problem." He smiles at her and turns back to see Grindewald. Great. Just what I need. He turns back to Katie and ignores Gelly. "So vat else do you do besides flying?"

"Im trying to -hic- Drink away all the bad feeling my love! You know how it is! Gellert my man!" Blaise thumped Gellert on the back smiling brightly, His drink sloshing over the floor.

"Well thanks Gellert, you don't look half bad yourself." she smirked, and reminded herself mentally that Faye had said something about liking him, but now that there seemed to be something between her and Scorp, she wasn't sure what to think

Still ducked down Katie replied, "Oh loads really... I like to read. I Play alot of Muggle sprt when I'm at home you know? What about you?"

Pansy poked her head in the door, glancing quickly around for Dee, or Severus, or... anyone, really. She reached up and adjusted the shoulder of her dress as she took a few tentative steps into the Great Hall, her eyes still searching the room. It would seem strange to be coming without Draco, if they'd gone to more than one or two balls together before. But she was used to coming alone by now.

Upon not finding Dee or Sev, Pansy picked up a firebeer and sat down off to the side, quietly waiting for someone to come along.

Penny sighs and sits at a table, waiting for her date to show up so she could hopefully have some fun.

Seeing a girl sitting alone in a corner who he recognized from the common room, he walked over to her, nodding his hello. He picked up his a firewhiskey, swirled it around in the glass, and then turned back to Pansy, saying cooly, "Hey. Don't think we've met. Gellert."

She lifted her chin in greeting. "Pansy." She vaguely remembered seeing him before, but hadn't the slightest where. This past week had been too much to keep up with.

Narcissa walked in shyly, scanning the crowd for Severus. 'We didn't say where we'd meet up,' she thought. 'Maybe he just decided it wasn't worth it or something.' She shook the thought out of her head and took to staying by the drink table. She went for a nonalcholic drink and looked around at all the gorgeous dresses and immediately felt... inferior.

"Well, Pansy, I was just noticing your dress. It really is beautiful." He takes a swig of his firewhiskey, and casually sits down. "Something got you down?"

Pansy glanced at her hardly touched bottle of firebeer and sat it aside. She'd be keeping a level head for now. "Thanks." She laughed a bit, trying to think of how to answer him, how to tell someone she didn't even know how her life was crashing down. "Just idiots who don't know what's good for them. Typical, you know?"

Cissy looked around again and sighed, deciding to wait in the Common Room rather than look sad and pathetic in the corner.

"You sure it's not idiots who know exactly what's good for them and don't do it, just 'cause they feel somehow more significant after that?" He half-smiles at her, "you don't have to answer that, if you don't want. That's just been my experience with idiotic guys." He traces the rim of his glass absentmindedly, watching her with a faint smile.

Kingsley walks in feeling slightly awkward. He'd heard about the dance and had decided to go just so that he could meet more people. He looked around a bit and decided to sit at a table for now and drink something.

Tam walked in looking FABULOUS. She headed straight for the drinks and grabbed a firebeer (of the mild variety).

Peter enters behind Tam, walking up behind her, covering her eyes with his hands, and kissing her cheek. "Hello, beautiful."

*Tam slipped her hands up over his and pulled them down, spinning in his arms* Hello Love. Haven't seen you in a while. *she felt much better now that she had someone here. Finally someone who wasn't pissed at her.*

*flounces in, hoping to see one of her friends*

"Mhmm," he says, bringing his hands down to her waist. This was a dance, after all. "How have you been? Hashbee started talking to you yet?" he teased, smiling.
