Hospital Wing

"Oww" Draco winced as Pansy stuck her fingernail in his forehead. Damn. He watched her start nodding slowly moving faster and faster. He needed to talk to whoever gave her the pain meds because that was a very bad idea. "Are you going to puke? I really don't want you to puke." Draco watched her carefully, making sure he was ready to conjure a bucket if need be.

"Noooooooo, I can't puke anything up if I haven't eaten anything alllllll dayyyyyy." She peeked an eye open at him. "All day long. Not even breakfast. Not even lunch. Not even... what time is it? I don't know. I'm hungry. I didn't eat, so I can't throw up, which really. No. I don't have to. I'm fine."

[Can I wake up?]

[Mmhm.]

"Pansy!" He sighed, "Love you have to eat. I'll get you something" He got a house elf (NOT DOBBY CAUSE DOBBY WOULD NEVER GET FOOD FOR DRACO CAUSE POTTER'S A DICK) to get food because that's what people seem to do at hoggywarts. He got a cheeeese sammich cause they're tasty.... but not a grilled cheese cause Pansy right now couldn't deal with dripping cheese. It would just be a mess. And would probably end with cheese in Draco's hair. So that isn't happening. ANYWAY Draco got Pansy a cheese sammich.

Severus stirs and awakens, groaning in pain then opening his eyes and straightening up in his chair. "Draco," he says with a small smile.

Draco, making sure Pansy had grabbed the sammich, turned to Sev, "Hey Sev. How injured are you?"

"I'm fine, just a bit cut up from the explosion," he said, looking guiltily at Draco, not quite meeting his eyes, out of shame for not helping Pansy, and out of guilt of sleeping with her. "Pansy- how're you?"

[.... well i was going to post about this feeling awkward earlier... now it's even worse...]

"Fine, fine." She sat up slowly and took the sammich from him. Pansy paused, bit her lip. Cheese. It smells funny. Smells like beef and cheese, only without the beef. "Umm." She grabbed his hand and held it open on her lap, peeling the cheese off the slices of bread and placing them in his hand. "Yep. You can have those." She pushed his hand far far away and took a bite of the bread. "Why hello Severus did you take a nap? Did you manage to get your eyes together for a bit? WELL HOW'D YA GET THEM ACROSS YOUR NOSE?" She laughed a bit too long and took another bite of bread.

Draco looked at the cheese in his hand then over at Sev, "Did you give her pain meds?"

Severus stared at her, then looked at Draco. "Of course I did, wans't gonna let her sit in pai- oh. Joel. He probably gave her some too, she's had too many potions. Should've figured. Don't give her any more potions, she'll be fine without them for a while, they'll only make her more loopy and she won't need them anyway," he said, getting to his feet and standing shakily. "I'm gonna go. Send me a note if you need me," he said, not wanting to stay around the two of them, especially not together.

Pansy waved as the awkward turtle swam away. She looked back at Draco, glanced at the cheese in his hand, snarled at it a bit, and took another rather vicious bite out of her slices of bread. She then proceeded to rip the crust off and roll it into a sort of ball before shoving it into her mouth.

Draco watched Sev walk off and turned back to see Pansy doing super gross things with her food and glaring at the cheese. Tossing it in the bin next to her bed he sat down on the side of her bed and, leaning back against the headboard, kicked off his shoes and stretched out next to her. "Better now?"

After she'd swallowed all her bread and tried to scoot over a little to make room for Draco, she nodded. "Yeah." She rested her head on his shoulder, carefully moving her arm to wrap across his waist. "Sorry I didn't kick his ass satisfactorily. He just had to pull the muggle moves. He just had to use a gun instead of a wand..." She sighed lightly and closed her eyes, nestling in next to his warm body.

Draco sat bolt upright, dislodging Pansy so she dropped back onto the bed, and stared straight down at her with a look of horror plastered to his face. "A GUN!???! HE PULLED A GUN!!??!?! WHERE THE HELL DID HE EVEN GET A GUN!!?? HOW DID HE EVEN GET IT INTO THE SCHOOL!?!?!?!"

"Mmhm." She replied calmly, just staring up at him as he spazzed, not even caring that he'd practically shoved her off him as he jumped up. He really did take things out of proportion and get overexcited about stuff. She blamed it on his father. Why? No idea, just seemed like a good thing, or person, to blame it on at the moment. "You should just relax." Pansy reached up and grabbed his tie, pulling him down toward her and meeting his lips with her own.

He was about to make a snappy retort when she grabbed his tie and kissed him. Well that was one way to distract him. And Tam regrets going to private school with boys in ties and never trying that maneuver but whatever. He decided he could freak out more later. There were better things to do now. Say for instance Pansy. Sliding an arm behind her back he gently rolled them so he was lying under her because lying on her could only make her bruises hurt more.

Pansy whimpered softly as he maneuvered them, as the excess movement irritated her still sore shoulder. Leaning over him, even though she'd stayed limp and was simply lying on top of him, the change of position hurt and her shoulder, despite her excessive medication, was shooting pains agian. "Draco, I can't. It hurts."

Draco thought evil curses and damnation on whoever did this to her but felt voicing them would be generally useless at the present. Gently he helped her lie down again, "What hurts the most? Do you want me to get the nurse?"

Pansy shook her head. "No, I'm okay. I just couldn't lay like that." She settled back into the pillows and sighed, thinking deeply for a few moments while tracing her finger up the inside of Draco's forearm. "We should stop getting married, you know."

"Yeah, because every time we do you end up in a duel and critically injured." Draco smiled down at her. "And as much as I love you you're a really bad patient to try to nurse."

"Mmhm. Not good." She slid over a little to put her head on Draco's chest rather than her pillow. "I'm only bad because I don't like having to be taken care of. Feeling useless. So I guess I try too much and you have to deal with me. Thanks for dealing with me, by the way." Pansy looked up at him and half smiled, her breath catching in her throat as the way she twisted her neck did not feel good for her shoulder.

Draco rolled his eyes, "Pansy of course I'll 'deal' with you, as if I'd let anyone else take care of you." He noticed her breath catching and gently stroked her hair, "Now stop wriggling about, you're just going to aggravate your shoulder. Now do you want anything else? More food? More water?" He smirked, "More cheese?"

Pansy shuddered. "No. No cheese. That smelled awful. In fact, I can still smell it from up here. What kind of cheese did the house elves even use?" She stuck her tongue out briefly. "No, I'm fine. Though. Um. Well, I do have to pee like a racehorse." She blinked, realizing she really really didn't want to walk, but her bladder really really didn't want to wait, and she'd have to.
